Since he could not regenerate, what would happen if a destructo disk hit him in the neck? Or if somebody pulled his heart out? I know these are random incidents, but would would happen if you become immortal

he would be crippled. he can't die, obviously, so he probably doesn't need air or food to function, but with nothing but a head, he's nearly helpless.

he's good at learning and creating new ki techniques, so he would likely be able to function with ki, but he'd still be at a major disadvantage.

Well if he's immortal, a surgeon wouldn't have to worry about him dying when he's sewing the head back on. So, I think he'd be ok.

I think Gohan charged through Garlic Jr's stomach area and left a hole but iirc the immortality healed the hole back. Maybe something like that would occur because I don't think Garlic Jr can naturally regenerate or fix holes like that.

I agree with this even if it's filler.

Yeah exactly. And if I'm not mistaken he's the only one that was successful in getting immortality so that's really the only thing we can go off of when it comes to that.

Garlic could regenerate as said before. Vegeta likely would have and got zenkais piled on top of one another as well as just gave Frieza a never ending battle

garlic regenerated from the makyo star, not from his immortality. remember the 2 surviving members of the spice brothers also regenerated when exposed to the light of the makyo star, even though they aren't immortal. it's just a feature of that race, nothing to do with immortality.

all immortality does is keep you from dying. that's it. and canonically, it doesn't even do that. the only canon immortal character, Roshi, actually did die, twice. immortality kept him from aging any further, but that was it.

personally, i'd rather have the no aging immortality than the no dying immortality, anyway.

I don't think Vegeta would be able to regenerate but he might just be indestructible. Regeneration is a genetic ability, not something you can just gain or learn, ecxept maybe with the dragon balls.

actually, considering that there are techniques that create entirely new limbs or bodies, i don't doubt that it would be possible to learn how to regenerate

Zenkais occur by near death experiences. If Vegeta got immortality,he would never reach close to death,so he wouldn't get any zenkais.

I suppose it depends how the immortality is conferred. It could go either way I suppose.

It's entirely possible that while immortal he wouldn't be indestructible - so it would still be possible to be killed, but not die through natural means.

What techniques are those? Anyway, even if learning the ability to regenerate is possible, I still think that you'd be indestructible if you were immortal.
